Kyrgyzstan in a Week: A Whirlwind Tour of the Celestial Mountains

This one-week itinerary will take you on a whirlwind tour of some of Kyrgyzstan's most iconic sights.

Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek and City Exploration

Arrive at Manas International Airport (FRU) and transfer to your accommodation in Bishkek. Spend the day exploring the capital city. Visit Ala-Too Square, the heart of the city, and wander through the leafy Oak Park. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Kyrgyz dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Ala-Archa National Park and Transfer to Cholpon-Ata

In the morning, take a day trip to Ala-Archa National Park, just a short drive from Bishkek. Enjoy a hike in the stunning alpine scenery. In the afternoon, take a shared taxi or a pre-booked transfer to Cholpon-Ata, a resort town on the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.

Day 3: Issyk-Kul Lake and Petroglyphs

Day 6: Skazka Canyon and Return to Bishkek

Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some time for last-minute souvenir shopping at Osh Bazaar before heading to the airport for your departure.
